What happens to a book between one language and another

Airecreator is built for books, not sentences. The care described here is the difference between a manuscript that has been converted and one that reads as though it were written in this language to begin with.

1. 01

   You hand over the whole work

   Upload the complete manuscript rather than a chapter at a time. A book is a single piece of writing, and the work is treated as one — which is why a recreated chapter forty still sounds like the person who wrote chapter one.

2. 02

   The work is read before anything is written

   Nothing is recreated until the book has been read: its voice, its rhythm, its recurring images, the particular things this author does that another author would not. Speed at this stage is what makes translated literature read like translation.

3. 03

   It is written again, not converted

   Your book is written afresh in the destination language, the way the author would have written it had that been their language. Sentence shapes, idiom and cadence belong to the new language; meaning, intent and the reader's experience remain exactly yours.

   It is read again, closely

   Every passage is reviewed against a single question — would a reader in this language believe it was written here first? Passages that fall short are written again rather than patched, because a sentence that reads as translated cannot be repaired by adjusting it.

5. 05

   You receive a finished manuscript

   The complete book arrives as an editable Word document and a PDF, with a report on the work. Your editor can take it from there — for serious publication we consider a human final read part of the craft.
